Samantha Morris was born and raised in the wide open spaces of Big Sky country. In college, she enrolled in The University of Montana’s art program where she explored various media and in 1999 she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in photography.

After graduation, she moved to the Bay Area where she worked in the San Francisco design district for a high-end window treatment manufacturer. There, she was able to put her art skills to use creating illustrations and photographing product details for in-house training materials. She also occasionally photographed weddings and other events. In 2008, she left her job to spend more time with her children and return to fine art. During this time she began focusing on ceramics at her local studio.

Presently, her focus is on ceramics but she still enjoys photography and exploring other mediums.  She participates in various art shows and is a member of the Art Guild of Pacifica, where she received top honors as a winner of the Award of Excellence in 2015. In addition to work as an artist, Samantha also enjoys teaching art to both children and adults.
